The Problem

Customer browses on desktop. Leaves. Returns on mobile via a Klaviyo link. Buys.

Most apps? Thinks it's two different people.

This disconnect can hurt smart size pre-selection with Smart Select, leave out recently viewed product data, show the same visitor 2 different variants of a test, and more.

Key Features

Anonymous Tracking

Every visitor gets a persistent ID. We remember their test variants, size preferences, viewed products, and behavior — even without an account.

Identity Linking

When they log in, fill out a popup, check out, click an email or sms link — we connect the dots. Their anonymous sessions link to their customer profile.

Platform Sync

Connect Klaviyo, Attentive, Omnisend, or Postscript. We exchange tokens, fetch purchase history, and sync preferences bidirectionally.

Size & Variant Preferences

Smart Select uses synced preferences to pre-select the right size on any device.

How one person becomes one profile

Everyone starts anonymous

A first visit gets an anonymous visitor ID tied to that browser. Nothing personal is attached, and for most visitors that is where it stays — the profile only builds if they identify themselves.

Identification is ranked by confidence

A Shopify login or a checkout email is treated as certain. A click from a Klaviyo email or SMS is strong but not certain. Weaker signals never overwrite what a stronger one established.

Preferences merge, they don't collide

When a phone and a laptop resolve to the same person, their stored preferences are merged: the more recent choice wins a conflict, and a higher-confidence source outranks a lower one.

Identity resolution questions

What links a visitor to a person?

A Shopify customer login, an email captured at checkout, or a click from a Klaviyo email or SMS. In every case the shopper took an action that identified them — none of it is inferred from fingerprinting.

What does the store actually gain from it?

Continuity. Size and variant preferences and recently-viewed products follow the shopper from phone to laptop, and a purchase made on a different device can still be attributed to the campaign that started it.

Which marketing platforms does it work with?

Klaviyo, Attentive, Omnisend and Postscript — so a shopper arriving from an email or SMS is recognised as the profile that platform already knows.

Is anything shared with other merchants?

No. Identity links are scoped to your store. A shopper resolved on your storefront is not resolved across a network of unrelated stores.
